About the Game

It's 2am. You're the only one in the building.
To pass the hours, you load an old text adventure on the police terminal. You read the first passage and type a command. Then a sound from somewhere in the station draws your attention away from the screen.
The game is waiting for your next move. So is something else.

The Last Shift is a single-player psychological horror game played through an old-school text adventure. Read the story, type commands, examine objects and work out how to use the items you find.
As you progress, sounds, lights and movement in the office begin to echo what you read. Your attention is split between the terminal and the room around you. Keep listening when you look back at the screen.

Explore through typed commands, clues and inventory puzzles.
Return to familiar locations transformed in the dark world.
Watch and listen for events in the office as the story unfolds.
Follow your location on the in-game tablet map.
Text and command support in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian and Turkish.

The Last Shift began with a question: what if a horror game made you afraid of what you might miss while you were reading? We wanted the words on the screen and the room around it to pull your attention in different directions.
